Neo
Casey’s imaginary friend. Trapped in the Never Ending Night.
Neo was supposed to be safe. A friend for Casey during difficult times. A source of comfort in an unstable world.
Then the corruption reached them during the Imaginary Apocalypse.
Now Neo experiences the Never Ending Night—a recursive nightmare that loops endlessly. Wake up. Notice something wrong. Try to escape. Die in the nightmare. Wake up again. The loop continues.
The Never Ending Night
The nightmare has five scenes, each more distorted than the last:
- The Awakening - Something feels wrong in the bedroom
- The Mirror Room - Reflections don’t match reality
- The Invisible Box - Trapped in shrinking space
- The Toys - Childhood comfort becomes threat
- The Choice - Wake up or stay? (Both lead back)
If Neo chooses to “stay,” they return to Scene 1—but Blurry Memory is watching from the start. The nightmare knows you came back.
The loop detection is stored. The nightmare remembers.
The Bedroom
Neo’s room is prepared. Too clean. Too familiar. The air feels like someone spoke your name before you arrived.
The portal to the Never Ending Night manifests as:
- Walls that breathe and warp
- A door with red glow and vortex effect
- 300+ corruption particles spreading
- Reality grid showing space-time distortion
- Nightmare memory fragments floating
You can enter the nightmare… but can you leave?
Character Traits
Neo is:
- Fragile - The nightmare has worn them down
- Haunted - By memories of loops that never ended
- Hyperaware - Notice every tiny change (survival instinct)
- Protective - Of Casey, despite own trauma
- Glitch-prone - Identity unstable from recursive resets

Loop Detection
The Never Ending Night tracks if you’ve been there before via localStorage. If you choose “Stay” at the final choice, Scene 1 knows when you return. Blurry Memory appears immediately. The timing accelerates. The nightmare knows you came back.
“Some nightmares don’t end. They just loop. And each time, they remember you a little better.”
